Jacaranda College & Pre-Primary
We choose equality, dignity, diversity and development.
We feel most privileged to invite you to make an application for enrollment of your child with Jacaranda College & Pre-Primary.
Completing an Application for Admission and returning it to the school, or uploading it to either the Admissions Download page or Contact us page on our website, is the first step in becoming part of our family. Places are highly sought after and to avoid disappointment we recommend families enroll their children as soon as they can to book a place with us.
Attending Jacaranda Pre-Primary ensures preferential consideration for admission to Jacaranda College from Grade R upwards.
Our admission procedure is as follows:
When to apply:
We are happy to receive an application for admission at any time throughout the year. An invitation for an interview (parents and learner respectively) may be requested on receipt of the application. At Jacaranda College, we may also require the child to complete a pre-admission evaluation.
When your application has been approved:
If the application is approved, we will notify you in writing (e-mail) that enrollment was successful and the Enrollment Fee becomes payable within 7 days from the date of the school’s acceptance letter in order to secure a place. The Development Fee must be paid in full within 60 days therefrom.
Personal tours of the school can be arranged at any time of the year by appointment which can be arranged though the school office. The tour will give you an opportunity to see the school in action.
After you have enrolled:
Once your child has been enrolled a joining pack containing all the information needed in relation to starting with us will be handed to you which will include age and/or grade specific requirements and information such as or stationery, uniform, calendar, first-day arrangements, school notebook, information of all extra-curricular suppliers and activities etc. This information is shared with new parents at Jacaranda College during the New Parents’ Orientation Meeting which is normally held towards the end of October or early November.
This gives parents the opportunity to purchase school uniform and the prescribed stationery packs at the New Parents’ Orientation Meeting, as well as meet the Senior School Management Team, various Grade Supervisors and Head of the Sports Faculty at the New Parents’ Orientation Meeting.
We will be happy to answer any further questions new parents may have prior to starting at school. Simply email or telephone the school.
